CTD arrests suspected suicide bomber

LAHORE:

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have arrested a suspected suicide bomber near Lahore Railway Station on Tuesday.

The arrested suspect had been identified as Liaqat. He reportedly was destined to target sensitive installations and had been waiting for the attack. Police also seized a suicide jacket, hand-grenade and explosives from his custody.

CTD officials said that the suspect belonged to the banned outfit Hizbul Tahrir. He had been moved to an undisclosed location for further investigations.
