LAHORE:

A Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) woman lawmaker has demanded to put an end to unannounced load shedding in the province that had made miserable the lives of common people.

The demand was made by PML-N MPA Rabia Nusrat in her resolution she submitted in Punjab Assembly secretariat.

She implored that the government started unannounced load shedding in the summer season.

She contended that the LESCO, showing technical faults, has started the load shedding. “It has become difficult to sit in homes for the citizens in the hottest season while the LESCO also started load shedding.” She demanded the government that the unannounced load shedding be put to its end so the poor citizens could gain some relief during the current weather situation.

Reportedly, unscheduled power outages have been on the rise in the provincial capital along with an increase in mercury level across the province.

People from various areas of the city have been complaining about unscheduled load-shedding and frequent power failures in their neighbourhoods.
