Chaudhry brothers felicitate Pakistan origin US Democratic leader on receiving top civilian honour

Pervaiz Elahi says Tahir Javed's efforts are highly valued to improve Pak-US ties

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi on Monday felicitated Pakistani origin US Democratic leader Tahir Javed on being conferred by Tamgha-e-Imtiaz – Pakistan's highest civilian honour.

While talking on the telephone, Elahi told Javed that to improve Pak-US ties, his efforts are highly valued in Pakistan. "Services of overseas Pakistanis for the country and the nation are worth seeing which is manifestation of love for the motherland, immigrants settled in foreign countries are ambassadors of Pakistan, playing political and economic role throughout the world overseas Pakistanis are an asset."

He welcomed the decision of the government to confer Tamgha-e-Imtiaz to Tahir Javed in recognition of his love for the country and services.
