Logan Paul sparks controversy, accusing BBC of hiring predators and trolling an interviewer with a doppelganger.

YouTuber Logan Paul has accused the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) of hiring predators while pulling a controversial prank during a scheduled interview. 

The incident unfolded when Paul, under scrutiny for cryptocurrency scams, sent a lookalike in his place to speak with BBC journalist Matt Shea.

In a YouTube video, Paul claimed, "The British media conglomerate has been platforming predators for the past 50 years," listing names such as Jimmy Savile, Rolf Harris, and others. He specifically highlighted the case of former BBC presenter Huw Edwards, who faced allegations of grooming and misconduct before resigning in 2024.

During the prank, the doppelganger initially fooled Shea before protestors appeared, chanting claims against the BBC. The situation escalated when the lookalike alleged Shea’s Gmail account was linked to an adult website, prompting Shea to leave visibly upset.

The BBC later reported receiving a legal notice from Paul warning against publishing their findings, though no legal action has been taken so far. Paul, maintaining his innocence regarding the crypto scams, concluded the stunt by announcing a $50,000 donation to the Inspiring Children Foundation.

The event has sparked widespread debate online, with some condemning Paul's actions as distasteful while others praise his bold tactics.
