RAWALPINDI:

The infectious diseases ward at the Holy Family Hospital (HFH) has been closed for three days as the hospital’s administration starts the process to convert it into a ward for viral dengue fever patients.

The ward was previously used to house the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) patients. However, with a significant drop in patients in the city, all the patients previously admitted in the ward have been discharged after recovering from the pandemic disease.

As a preventive measure, the ward has been closed and will be thoroughly washed off with chlorinated water and sprayed with disinfectants.

Further, dedicated teams of doctors and paramedics have been formed to deal with dengue cases.
