KARACHI:

Issuing special orders to improve the sanitation situation in the city after monsoon rains and Eidul Azha, Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Saturday directed officials to remove garbage from the streets of all parts of the province immediately.

"The state of sanitation in the province must be improved and dirt and piles of garbage should be completely cleaned from all districts," he said, further directing municipal commissioners and Sindh Solid Waste Management Board officials to monitor the situation.

Meanwhile, Shah ordered the relevant officials to inform him about cleaning activities in their respective areas on a daily basis and ensure uninterrupted work to serve the purpose. He added he would pay surprise visits to different areas to review the situation, warning of strict action against negligent officials.
