Committee set up to identify illegal structures on state land in three weeks

The Kaghan Development Authority has decided to take action against the unauthorised encroachment on state land in the Kaghan region.

This was decided during the first meeting of Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) Board of Authority (BoA) which met in Mansehra the other day with the Hazara Division Commissioner Riaz Mahsud, in the chair.

During the meeting, members elected Dr Aimal Zaman as the chairman of the BoA.

Detail of making basic amenities available to residents apart from facilitating tourists and the tourism industry within the jurisdiction of KDA, particularly Naran, Kaghan and Shogran areas.

Raze all encroachments in East district: SHC

The KDA decided to constitute a committee comprising representatives of the authority, the Mansehra district administration, irrigation department, environmental protection agency and the national highway authority.

This committee will identify all encroachment within their respective jurisdiction within three weeks.

Mahsud directed the authority to take measures to ensure the availability of facilities for tourists, planting trees and its protection, retrieval of state lands, building planning and formulation of building by-laws, sanitation and cleanliness, environmental protection and the strict implementation of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) protective standard operating procedures (SOPs).
