According to the SITE Super Highway police, the driver and cleaner fled from the spot after the incident. However, the police have impounded the truck.

Meanwhile, a youth riding a motorcycle was killed when a speeding car rammed into him near Raees Goth on the Northern Bypass. The body was shifted to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities, where the deceased was identified as Azizullah, 16.

Separately, a man was killed and another was injured as a speeding vehicle hit them in Sher Shah. The body and injured were shifted to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital, where the deceased was identified as Muhammad Naeem, 27, and the injured as Muhammad Ismail, 27.
