Anti-polio drive to kick off on Aug 15

The P&SHD has formulated 37,658 mobile, 4,034 fixed, and 2,282 transit teams for the campaign

The Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) has decided to launch a five-day anti-polio campaign beginning from August 15 in the province. According to the P&SHD spokesperson on Thursday, P&SHD Secretary Captain (retd) Mohammad Usman has written a letter to the committee of security coordination to make arrangements for the safety of polio teams. The P&SHD has formulated 37,658 mobile, 4,034 fixed, and 2,282 transit teams for the campaign. P&SHD plans to send special teams in case children registered in Punjab were found in the other provinces. It is pertinent to mention here that the security coordination committee works under the supervision of the home secretary while the Police inspector general, AIG Special Branch, the world health organization (WHO) and representatives of the health department are members of the committee.
