Fashion Forward: Designers from Punjab put on grand show

One of the first fashion shows of a series to promote the efforts of designers in the Multan area.

A series of fashion shows has been organised by the Multan Fashion Council in different cities of Southern Punjab. On Saturday, Ali Ameer productions organised one of the first shows in a series of shows to promote the efforts of designers in the area.


Multan Fashion Council president Ali Ameer said that he wanted to the Seraiki region to have its own identity in the field of fashion. The show showcased an elaborate array of outfits designed by fashion students and designers from all over the province. There was also a series of performances put on by singers and artists at the venue.

Afshan Rehman, a designer told The Express Tribune that her line included informal, party wear, evening dresses and bridal wear. “This is a great chance for different designers to showcase their talent before a large audience,” she said.

We have been able to get three more fashion shows for southern Punjab and five other fashion shows in other cities of Pakistan.
