Anti-dengue spray in Jhelum’s rural areas

Akhtar directs the teams to keep a vigilant eye on stagnant water

The Jhelum Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pervaiz Akhtar has directed dengue surveillance teams in the district to focus on the rural areas along with the urban areas during their larvae tracking activity. The DC was chairing the meeting of the district emergency response committee on Saturday. Addressing participants, Akhtar directed the teams to check under-construction buildings and keep a vigilant eye on stagnant water on streets and roads. Akhtar instructed the teams to continue indoor and outdoor surveillance regularly particularly during the monsoon season.
