10 held, liquor and weapons recovered

Three Afghan nationals and another foreigner amongst those apprehended

ISLAMABAD:

At least 10 suspects were held while stolen motorbikes, contraband and weapons were recovered from their possession, an Islamabad Police spokesperson said on Saturday.

The official said that as per their ongoing crackdown against criminal elements, SP Saddar Zone Sarfraz Virk constituted a police team under the supervision of DSP Khalid Mehmood including Tarnol SHO Arshad Ali, ASI Muhammad Saqib along with other officials.

They apprehended two suspected members of bike lifting gang, They were identified as Muhammad Ibrahim and Muhammad Rizwan while a stolen motorbike was recovered from their possession.

Similarly, the Shalimar and Karachi Company police apprehended two bootleggers including a foreigner identified as Prince Kaluri apart from Raheel Pitres, They recovered 50 litres of alcohol and 40 cans of beer from their possession respectively.

Furthermore, the Shahzad Town police arrested two suspected bike thieves, identified as Farz and Adeel, and recovered a stolen motorbike from their possession.

The Koral police arrested Muhammad Akhtar and recovered a 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from him. The Sabzi Mandi police held three suspects, identified as Afghanistan residents Dolat Khan, Kamran and Gul Naeem. Police recovered two pistols along with ammunition and a dagger from their possession.

Cases have been registered against them while further investigations are underway from them.
