Civil Lines police claimed to have arrested 90 criminals and seized 13 pistols, two rifles, a Kalashnikov, bullets, more than two kilogrammes of hashish and 130 litres of liquor during the past week. Police also busted a gang of robbers and arrested its three members along with recoveries worth more than Rs50,000 from them. Police also recovered thousands of rupees from 16 people during action against gamblers. Moreover, six proclaimed offenders in cases of theft, cheque dishonour, fraud and other crimes were arrested along with five targeted offenders. Civil Lines division police also arrested 13 people laws related to kite flying, one wheeling and tenant registration.
