Two groups engaged in a clash at a confectionary in Tando Bago in Talhar on Tuesday morning. The issue arose between the shopkeeper and customers, over the rate of samosas, which soon turned into a serious clash.
The shopkeeper called the people of his Kachi clan and the customers called their people of Chandia clan. Both groups arrived armed with rods and sticks and began fighting.
Talhar SHO inspector Dhani Bakhsh Marri arrived on the spot and broke up the fighting.
Several people, including those from the Lashari clan who tried to convince both enraged clans to reconcile, were also injured in the clash.
The injured were taken to a local health centre for first aid and were later shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad.
Sources have claimed that the police intervention has deescalated the dispute for the time being, however it is likely that another clash will break out between the two groups.
