A spokesperson said on Monday that Punjab IGP Prisons Mirza Shahid Saleem Baig had announced that complainants can register complaints through a mobile application or phone call. “It would help eliminate corruption, torture, inappropriate behaviour and non-cooperation in the prisons of Punjab,” he highlighted. The IG said that the staff concerned would keep the complainants updated till the resolution of their grievances. He asked the complainants to mention their name, mobile number and identity card number in the application while registering their online complaint.
