LAHORE:

A 65-year-old man was found dead in a hotel near a railway station in the early hours of Sunday. Police officials said that the body was decomposing as the man had died several days ago. The deceased was identified as Siraj, son of Ghulam Hussain. The man reportedly had been living in the hotel for quite some time. Nearby people reported to local police after a stench started emanating from his room. A police team reached the spot on information and shifted the body to a morgue for autopsy. Police also collected forensic evidence from the spot and recorded statements of the eyewitnesses. Initial investigations suggested that the man had died of natural causes. However, the autopsy report and further investigations would confirm the exact cause of death, the police officials further said.
