Police arrest 73 lawbreakers

Dolphin Squad, PRU seize 17 pistols, three rifles and Rs303,000 in cash

Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit (PRU) of Lahore Police arrested as many as 73 lawbreakers in the city over the last week.

A total of 38 outlaws were nabbed for violating one wheeling act, one for violating aerial firing act, another 11 suspected criminals for violating kite flying acts and as many was 23 TOs during the crackdown.

Dolphin Squad and PRU also seized 17 pistols, three rifles, 16 magazine, bullets and Rs303,000 in cash from them.

The police wings also recovered narcotics including 560 grammes of hashish and eight bottles of liquor from the accused. They also responded to 326 calls received on helpline 15.

Dolphin Squad and PRU helped as many as 35 people on different roads of the city.

The squads during patrolling in the city checked 3,206 cars, 117,775 motorcycles and 119,002 persons. As many as 245 motorcycles, eight vehicles and 153 persons were impounded in different police stations due to incomplete documents whereas disciplinary action was taken against violators.

As many as nine motorcycles, 12 mobile phones and a car were seized from the criminals during action.
