K-P to build 672 more mini hydropower stations

It would generate a total of 55 MW electricity

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has announced that it was planning to build 672 more mini hydro power stations in the province.

This was disclosed by K-P Chief Minister Mahmood Khan as he inaugurated five mini hydro power stations in Kaghan valley on Saturday.

These mini power station, CM Mahmood said would generate a total of 55 MW electricity. Despite the difficult financial situation due to the coronavirus pandemic, uplift activities and public welfare initiatives would not be compromised in the province. Tourism, hydel power and industry sectors are top priorities of his government, he added.
