ACE arrests 46 accused

The investigation staff had been directed to pursue the pre-arrest bails of the accused vigilantly

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Lahore claimed to have arrested 46 accused and proclaimed offenders (POs) in two weeks.

In compliance with the direction of Punjab ACE director general, the anti-corruption Lahore Region-A launched a grand operation against proclaimed offenders and court absconders, and arrested the accused involved in multiple cases, according to a handout issued on Saturday.

In this regard, special teams were constituted under the supervision of different officers of Lahore Region. The teams continuously conducted raids in the region that led to the arrest of the outlaws.

As many as 46 accused were arrested out of which 23 were held and the rest were released after they showed pre-arrest bails from the Anti-Corruption Courts and Lahore High Court.

The investigation staff and prosecution wing of ACE Lahore Region-A had been directed to pursue the pre-arrest bails of the accused vigilantly.

Reginal Director Lahore A said in this respect that raids for the arrest of accused persons were being conducted by the ACE round-the-clock for the arrest of the absconders.
