Robber killed during encounter

MULTAN:

A robber was killed during an encounter with police at Chak No 68, Permit Road on Sunday.

Police said a robber named Fida Hussain was in police custody when four armed accomplices of the accused open firing at police party while police retaliated. The exchange of firing resulted in the death of Fida.

Police officials added that the criminals managed to escape from the scene by taking advantage of darkness. Police issued high alert across the city and raids were being conducted to arrest the escaped criminals.

The senior police officer also reached the spot and formed special teams to arrest the criminals. Police officials informed that Fida was involved in various cases of robbery and murder.
