Punjab Wildlife Dept directs pet shop owners to get license

RAWALPINDI:

The Punjab Wildlife Department barred the pet shops from selling wild birds and has also directed pet shop owners to get licences for their business.

Wildlife Department Assistant Director Rizwana Imtiaz said that bird shops on Alam Khan Road and in other areas of the city have been warned against dealing in wild birds and animals.

She added that all shop owners have been instructed to obtain licences for selling birds or face action starting next week.
