LAHORE:

Woman has complained to the police that she was paraded naked in streets after severe torture by armed men in Gulberg-II after she rejected a marriage proposal.

The victim stated in her complaint before Ghalib Market police that she was at her home with her parents when Waseem Masih, his brother Nauman Masih and Sakindar Masih along with accomplices barged in with weapons and tortured her servants. She said Waseem hit her in the head with a pistol and it started bleeding. He also yelled at his accomplices to tear apart her clothes and parade her in the street, and they followed the orders.

She continued that the assailants continued torturing her during the ordeal, until two passersby intercepted them, covered her and helped her escape from their wrath.

The suspects fled from the spot while threatening her and also took away the DVR of CCTV cameras installed at the place.

The complainant said Waseem wanted to marry her but she had turned down his proposal owing to difference of religion and caste.
