Alhamra centre plans online classes

Several suggestions discussed for improvements in the institution

Lahore Arts Council (LAC) Executive Director Saman Rai has announced a plan to launch online classes in all fields of arts. The executive director presided over a meeting with the teachers of the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts regarding launch of online classes on Tuesday. According to a spokesperson, the teachers briefed Rai about the status of classes in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. After a discussion, the executive director announced the launch of online classes. For the convenience of students, the LAC would upload all lectures on music, painting, acting, dance, musical instruments and all other fields on its official website. Rai said that because of the current situation, it was unavoidable to make the decision, adding that it would benefit all young artists from 12 departments of the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts. Several suggestions were discussed for improvements in the institution.
