Man injured by robbers

Citizens robbed of millions of rupees in cash, jewellery and other valuables

LAHORE:

A man was injured while resisting a robbery, while citizens were robbed of millions of rupees in cash, jewellery and other valuables in various incidents in different areas of the provincial capital. In Burki area, robbers on a motorcycle shot and injured Shahid Javed over resistance and looted cash and other belongings worth Rs360,000. The injured man was shifted to a hospital. Meanwhile, cash and other goods worth Rs200,000 thousand were snatched from Tanveer in Kot Lakhpat area, Rs235,000 from Faisal’s family in Green Town, Rs100,000 from Shiraz in Ravi Road area, Rs400,000 from Usman in Shahdara Town, Rs300,000 from Abid in Raiwind, Rs300,000 from Wasim in Township and Rs130,000 and a mobile phone from Wasif in North Cantonment. Cars were stolen from the Defence and Shafiqabad areas and motorcycles from Data Darbar, Nolakha and Millat Park.
