Two bike lifters held, four motorcycles recovered

The Koral police booked them for vehicular theft while further investigations are underway

ISLAMABAD:

The Koral police have arrested two suspected bike thieves, recovering four stolen bikes from them, a police spokesperson said on Monday.

Following the directions of Inspector General of Islamabad Police (IGP) Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqaruddin Syed tasked Zonal SPs to accelerate efforts against auto-thieves and car-lifters.

Subsequently, the SP Rural-Zone Malik Iqbal constituted a team under the supervision of DSP Qasim Naizi. They apprehended two suspected bike lifters identified as Zahid and Waqas while recovering four stolen motorbikes from their possession.

During questioning, the suspects allegedly confessed to stealing these vehicles from various areas of the twin cities. Moreover, their past criminal record was also unearthed.
