On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) launched a campaign and made recoveries worth Rs4.42 billion in the month of June. According to a handout issued on Sunday, the ACE also made cash recovery amounting to Rs103.98 million during said month.
The department also retrieved 4,856 kanals and 16 marlas of state land worth Rs3.36 billion from land grabbers during this month. The anti-corruption establishment made indirect recovery worth Rs954.08 million during this period.
Moreover, Punjab ACE received 523 complaints on Report Corruption App in one month, redressed 315 of those forthwith while action on others was ongoing.
ACE received 571 complaints in one month and 574 complaints including previous complaints were resolved in this month.
During the month of June, ACE conducted 324 inquires and decisions on 271 under process complaints was being made. The department registered 97 cases after conducting thorough investigation and 99 ongoing cases were decided. As many as 59 challans were being submitted and 132 suspects were arrested.
ACE also arrested one court absconder and eight proclaimed offenders during this period. The chief minister asserted that the ongoing zero tolerance policy against corruption was being strictly implemented in Punjab.
