Possession of G 14/1 plots to be given in Dec
The Federal Govt Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) on Thursday announced that it will handover possession of plots in Sector G-14/1 to allottees in December this year.
FGEHF sources said that arrangements in this regard are in the final phase.
Apart from preparing to hand over plots in Sector G-14/1, sources said that development work in sub-sectors 2 and three of G-14 is underway.
To retrieve the foundation’s land from illegal occupants, they said that the district administration and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) launched a full-scale operation on Tuesday against the illegal settlers and squatters. The illegal settlers, however, had attacked the police and foundation staff. As a result, a senior police officer was injured in the scuffle.
The foundation’s administration asserted that the operations against illegal occupiers of its land will continue until the entire sector is vacated.
The FGEHF claimed that it had issued a notice for illegal settlers in Sector G-14, giving them a fortnight to pack up and vacate the place.
The notice further said that if the illegal occupants do not remove their settlements or debris, the district administration shall do so through an operation once the 15-day deadline expires.
The notice further said that the foundation had surveyed 406 built-up properties in three sub-sectors of Sector G-14 and paid to the occupants.
“It has been observed that despite receiving money, the occupants have failed to vacate the land. After 15 days, if these settlements are not removed, the administration will launch an operation and the administration shall not be responsible for any loss whatsoever as a result of this operation,” the notice further read.
