Traffic police to check number plates

LAHORE:

City Traffic Police has launched a crackdown against use of non-standard number plates of vehicles. The chief traffic police officer (CTO) said FIRs would be registered during the crackdown against those using fake number plates. He added that strict action would also be taken against those who used fancy or tampered number plates to avoid e-challans. He added that those showing excise department token for issuance of tickets would be exempted from the action. As part of the crackdown, pickets have been set up at entry and exit points of the city.
