A 14-year-old boy was stabbed to death by his uncle, a man killed his sister and a youth murdered his father in different areas of the city, police said on Wednesday.
In Liaquatabad, a man along with two accomplices stabbed his 14-year-old nephew to death and tried to portray the incident as murder over resistance during a robbery bid. Reportedly, the motive behind the crime was property share.
The victim identified as Muhammad Nabeel was living with his parents Muhammad Saleem and Kulsoom Bibi and 8-year-old sister Fatima, who were domestic workers.
Police said the accused, Abdul Qayyum, hatched a plan to snatch the property of his sister-in-law. The suspect went to the house of the victim when his parents were at work.
He escorted his relatives Tayyab Ali and Salman with the children on the pretext of buying parrots. He sent Fatima to a nearby shop for buying something to eat and in her absence stabbed Nabeel to death.
Later, they snatched valuables from the house and fled from the scene.
The suspect Qayyum himself became a complainant in the case and nominated his accomplices as accused and opponents as abettors.
