“Iss par baat hui thi (We did talk about this). Usne bola tha ke corona me toh nahi. Phir uske baad ek film a rahi hai, woh kar lenge. (He said it wouldn’t be possible during the coronavirus pandemic and he any way he had a film coming up),” Singh was quoted by GlamSham as saying.
"Uske baad February or March mein dekhte hain, karenge. Yehi last baat hui thi uske saath meri. (Then perhaps in February or March, he would have considered going ahead with it. That was the last time I spoke to him)," he added.
The grieving father also spoke about his son’s obsession with astronomy and the moon and the piece of land he had purchased on it.
“Haan, chand pe zameen khareedi thi aur apna plot INR55 lakh ke binoculars se dekhta tha (Yes, he had bought a piece of land on the moon and used to watch it with his telescope worth INR55 lakh),” Singh added.
Rajput was found hanging in his Mumbai residence on June 14. His father and sisters flew down to Mumbai to perform the last rites the following day.
A few days ago, a prayer meet for the actor was held at his ancestral home in Patna. Postmortem report released recently confirmed he had committed suicide.
