
Meanwhile, FBISE Chairman Rao Atiq Ahmed has summoned a meeting of the board’s governors meeting on June 30 to seek approval for the promotion policy and on postponing exams.
Earlier, the federal government had asked the provincial authorities to come up with their proposals to resume academic activities amidst the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
The Federal Ministry for Education and Professional Training had sought proposals to reopen educational institutes on a trial basis in the country.
In this regard, the ministry will convene an inter-provincial conference of education ministers to thrash out a strategy to resume educational activities. All provinces have been instructed to present their suggestions by June 23 on how to protect students and teachers from the contagion.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had directed that distance learning and easy access to the teaching process from various sources should be ensured and all available means should be utilised for the purpose.
