The Rawalpindi NAB has submitted the plea bargain application in the accountability court.
The apex-anti-corruption body said the money was recovered from the National House Building Roads Development Corporation.
A statement issued in this regard said it was the biggest recovery of money in the history of fraud cases investigated by Rawalpindi NAB.
The suspect Mian Wasim pleaded guilty during the interrogation and agreed for a plea bargain. The amount recovered would be refunded to the victims after scrutiny. The administration of housing society had applied for a plea bargain.
The suspect had advertised the illegal housing society in the print and electronic media. According to NAB, the suspect had not availed a no-objection certificate for the housing scheme.
