These anti-dengue workers of Rawalpindi, Cantt, Gujar Khan, Rawal Town, Pothohar Town, Taxila have been issued notices to deposit the said amount in the health offices immediately.

They have also been warned that if a lady worker does not return the conveyance allowance within three days, her salary for the month of June will be withheld and no salary will be paid in July.

Dengue ends naturally, wards stay for next year

All the women workers have gone on strike and have again announced a sit-in in front of the District Health Officer's office.

Women anti-dengue workers say they are harassed and marked absent even if they were 10 minutes late. Work is also done all day and at the end of the month the salary is deducted for being absent.

The women workers have been posted at a distance of five to seven kilometres from their homes.

Due to non-availability of transport in the morning, there is a delay of ten to fifteen minutes and show cause notices for deduction of salaries are issued.

Women anti-dengue workers are being tortured. Full pay should be given and no excuses should be made.
