SANGHAR: After an alleged argument with her husband, a woman set herself and her three daughters ablaze in Sanghar.

The police claimed that according to initial investigation, they learnt that after a fight with her husband, 35-year-old Kesri Bheel locked herself in a room with her three daughters - aged between five and 14 - and set herself and the children ablaze.

Neighbours tried putting the fire out but the woman and two of her daughters died on the spot. The third daughter survived and was taken to the Sanghar Hospital for treatment. She was then shifted to Hyderabad Civil Hospital in critical condition, where she passed away.

The deceased's husband, Bhummo Bheel, said the dispute started after he came home from working in the fields and food was not ready.

He said he went back into the fields, after which his wife locked herself and the children in the room and set them and herself on fire.
