Javed arrested a day after kidnapping the four-year-old boy

KARACHI: The Zaman Town police safely rescued an abducted child within 24 hours of his disappearance on Saturday, while arresting a suspect during a raid.

According to Zaman Town SHO Inspector Farooq Sanjrani, a Korangi resident had reported on Friday that his four-year-old brother, Abdul Hannan, had been kidnapped. Upon receiving this complaint, the police registered the case and launched an investigation into the matter.

The following day, in a raid in Korangi, the police arrested a suspect, Muhammad Javed, and rescued the young boy from his custody.

Sanjrani claimed that Javed had confessed to the abduction.

The suspect reportedly said he had kidnapped the boy to take revenge against his mother for refusing his marriage proposal.

Further investigation of the incident is underway.
