Teachers told to apply for transfers

RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Education Ministry has told teachers to send in their transfer applications as it issued policy guidelines for relocating them.

A notification in this regard was issued on Wednesday in which June 16 has been set as the deadline for submitting applications.

Teachers can submit their applications online while the scrutiny process will also be carried out digitally.

After the applications are submitted, merit lists will be drafted and posted online so that teachers can file objections. A final list of approved applications will be posted on the teachers' portal on July 9.

The teachers will then be required to report to their new stations within three days
