According to a statement issued by Lok Virsa, the two museums under its administration, Pakistan National Museum of Ethnology (Heritage Museum) and Pakistan Monument Museum will reopen for public under strict SOPs.
People entering the museums would be required to wear facemasks and hand gloves besides ensuring social distancing as part of SOPs. Moreover, visitors will be screened with a temperature gun at the entry gate of the museums.
The museums will be opened from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 7pm without any break. Monday will be closed as holiday and on Friday timing will be 10am to 7pm with break for prayer from 1pm to 2.30pm, the statement said.
With the developing situation of coronavirus in Pakistan, Lok Virsa and Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) had cancelled all cultural activities in the third week of March.
The closure was part of countrywide lockdown for the prevention of the spread of coronavirus disease.
