LAHORE: The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has finalised all arrangements to expand its Foundation Assisted Schools (FAS) programme in seven more districts of the province to accommodate poor students by providing them free of cost quality education. This was stated by PEF Chairman Raja Muhammad Anwar on Wednesday while presiding over a meeting to review the pace of expansion of educational programmes. PEF managing director and deputy managing directors were also present. Anwar said that the PEF was rapidly working to launch the programme in new districts. He said it will provide quality education through interventions such as Education Voucher Scheme, Foundation Assisted Schools and the New Schools Programme. He said that after successful coverage in 29 districts, the FAS programme will now be launched in Khanewal, Sahiwal, Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Gujranwala and Kasur.
