KDA chief orders expediting digitisation of land records  

Employees were directed to cut back on "unnecessary expenses,"

KARACHI: Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Director-General (DG) Asif Ikram directed the authority's recovery department on Sunday to speed up the process of digitising land records. The department was further directed to digitally map all KDA schemes and lands.

The DG visited different offices of the recovery department at Civic Centre and termed the cleanliness and hygiene measures there to be satisfactory.

Employees were directed to cut back on "unnecessary expenses," which he said would enable timely payments of salaries, pensions and other allowances.

Ikram directed KDA Recoveries Director Raza Qaimkhani to ensure recovery of dues and issue notices to defaulters. Qaimkhani was asked to increase revenue to make KDA financially stable. Qaimkhani briefed the DG on administerial affairs of the department during the visit. "KDA departments should play a positive role for its betterment," said Ikram, adding that employees could share their grievances with the authorities through written reports.
