UAF gifts foreign students to celebrate Eid

FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture (UAF) Faisalabad distributed Eid presents among foreign students at a ceremony held at the New Senate Hall, Friday.

UAF Vice Chancellor (VC) Dr Muhammad Ashraf presided over the ceremony while Foreign Student Adviser Dr Tahir Siddique, was present on the occasion.

Speaking to the attendees of the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf said several foreign students could not go back to their countries as a consequence of a flying ban to contain the spread of the pandemic. “Therefore, the university looked out for these students by ensuring foolproof arrangements especially during the month of Ramazan,” he said, adding, “We did not want them homesick so we arranged Eid gifts to cheer them up.”
