AIOU offers MS in library science

AIOU asked people seeking admission in MLIS programme to apply online within the stipulated date

ISLAMABAD: Country’s largest distance learning facility, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), has launched an MS Library and Information Sciences (MLIS) programme for 2020 spring semester.

The last date for taking admission in this merit-based programme is June 5, said a press release on Thursday.

According to Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, the MLIS programme is aimed at providing an opportunity to enhance the knowledge and skills as well as qualifications in the field of Library and Information Sciences (LIS).

It was being offered keeping in view the need of AIOU graduates and others who are already in the field and intend to promote their professional skill.

Graduates of LIS from AIOU and other universities now have the opportunity to acquire a master degree in the subject as regular student without leaving their homes and the place of work.

AIOU asked people seeking admission in MLIS programme to apply online within the stipulated date.
