MIANWALI: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Omar Sher Chattah said that under Anti-hoarding Ordinance 2020, stored wheat will be recovered at any cost.

The DC has warned that hoarded wheat must be shifted at the wheat procurement centres voluntarily otherwise district administration will trace the stored wheat. He expressed these views while addressing a meeting regarding wheat procurement drive attended by commission agents’ and mill owners.

He said that trade is a prophetic profession; therefore, hoarding agricultural commodities like wheat will not be permissible. He maintained that the trade community, mills owners, commission agents and traders have promised to shift the wheat at wheat procurement centres within 3 days.
