CM Kamal, Senate chairman discuss virus measures

Government has been utilising all resources to curtail the spread of coronavirus says Kamal

QUETTA: Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani called on Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal during Eid and discussed the government’s preventive measures against the spread of Covid-19.

The CM briefed the senate chairman regarding health facilities being provided to patients infected with the contagious virus. “Government has been utilising all resources to curtail the spread of coronavirus and ensure food security and economic relief for people badly affected by province-wide lockdown,” Balochistan CM said, adding that they have enhanced their testing ability.

He further said, earnest measures are being taken to shift the health sector onto a digital platform while plans are in place to allocate a large amount of funds for the health department in the next budget. Lauding the provincial government’s efforts during the pandemic, the Sanjrani said, the Balochistan government has responded responsibly since the outbreak of coronavirus in Pakistan and assisted pilgrims at Taftan with quality healthcare facilities.
