Armed assailants fatally shot one man and abducted another in the Chapar area of Kalat district, Balochistan, according to local sources.

Following the attack, outraged tribesmen blocked the Quetta-Karachi highway for three hours, demanding the authorities apprehend those responsible.

The protest led to major traffic disruptions, with vehicles lining up for miles and passengers facing significant delays. Protesters raised slogans, urging the government to take immediate action against the culprits. Security was heightened in the area in response to the unrest.

Officials managed to restore order and reopen the highway after promising to investigate the incident. However, the protesters have warned of further action if arrests are not made soon. The incident has raised concerns over public safety in Kalat.
