A one-month-old girl, two women and a man died in the accident
Mohammad Aamir Shehzad of Hussainabad was going to Jhawrian in Sargodha district with his wife Erum and one-month-old baby on the invitation of relatives. When they reached Shahpur, his nephew Aon Ali's motorbike got punctured, so Shehzad took his sister-in-law Sunbul along on his motorcycle.
Two young siblings among four drown in Karachi
When the family reached near Bakharbar, the motorbike skidded off the road due to high speed and fell into the canal. As a result, Shehzad, his wife Erum, sister-in-law Sunbul and daughter died.
Rescue 1122 staff retrieved the bodies from the canal and took them to Shahpur Hospital where they were handed over to the family after legal formalities.
They were buried in Sheikhanwala graveyard after funeral prayers.
Family sources said Shehzad was a civilian employee of Pakistan Army. He belonged to a poor family and was very happy after the birth of his daughter.
He had taken leave to spend the Eid with his wife and daughter.
