Understanding your body is the key to looking good and a trait found amongst all impeccably dressed fashionistas. While people shy away from talking about their bodies, these brave souls explain how they work their anatomies to their advantage

How would you describe your body type?

I’m 5’3 and have a pear shaped body.

Has your body type changed over the last five years?

It has actually changed quite a bit, I used to be more on the slim side a couple of years ago. I’ve surely gained a few pounds here and there now thanks to being locked at home with nothing to do other than munching on food and binge watching seasons.

How has your style changed over the years?

I’ve always liked being in my comfort zone but recently I’ve started stepping out of it and have tried out some experimental looks that I wouldn’t have in the past.

In your opinion, what is your most troublesome area?

My feet! Only because I can barely walk in flats or open shoes, I’m a sneakers, pumps or a heels kind of a girl all the way.

How do you dress your body according to your body type?

I don’t believe in dressing up according to one’s body type, it’s always okay to not wear something that accentuates your not so favourite parts but I feel like you can make anything and everything work if you’re confident enough.

In your opinion what is the biggest mistake a person can make while dressing?

Not feeling good, your mood and how you feel about your clothes makes a HUGE difference. Oh and socks with sandals, ALWAYS.

Which silhouettes suit your body the most?

These days I’m all about puffy sleeves and slouchy pants and I think they suit my body type perfectly!

What is the one piece of clothing that you shy away from wearing and why?

Skirts and open shoes again, they’re just not my thing. I’m hoping to change this in the future though.
