More than a 100 deputy superintendents, inspectors and sub-inspectors of police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) were suspended from their duties on Tuesday on the account of their negligence in the past few months.

This was revealed by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) for Inquiry and Investigation Sultan Haneef Orakzai during a press conference in Peshawar.

Orakzai said that there are loopholes in the police system but the government has taken steps to resolve the issues.

He added that the police department will not tolerate the officers and police personnel who show negligence in responding to complaints.
