GUJRANWALA: A group of drunk wedding guests beat up their hosts with iron rods on Monday. According to eyewitnesses, the incident took place in the Aroop Police Lohianwala Chowki area, when Sialkot-based bridegroom Tanvir Pervez arrived with the wedding party to marry Ilyas Masih’s daughter. When the baraat was about to leave after the ceremony, accused Rizwan, Junaid, Francis, Peter, Irfan, Nana and Gulfam attacked them. The bridegroom’s brothers Rizwan Javed, Nazir, Irfan and Javed Barkat were severely injured and were shifted to Civil Hospital. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
