Landmine blast kills boy, injures father

Incident occurred in Shurparod area of Union Council Dasht Goran

QUETTA: A minor boy was killed while his father suffered critical injuries in a landmine explosion in Balochistan’s district Kalat.

As per Levies, the incident occurred in Shurparod area of Union Council Dasht Goran, some 60 km away from Kalat city. The father and son were on their way home when their motorcycle hit a landmine planted on the roadside. As a result, both were critically injured.

Levies along with rescuers rushed to the site and shifted the injured to district headquarter hospital Kalat, where Zubair was pronounced dead on arrival by the doctors but his father was shifted to Quetta for further treatment.
