MULTAN: Federal Law Minister Babar Awan said that the PPP will not file a candidate against Nawaz Sharif if he decides to contest the by-poll elections.

Speaking to media at the Multan airport, he said that the parliament is awaiting Sharif's return.

A three-member full bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) dismissed a petition challenging the Sharif brothers eligibility to contest the elections on Thursday.

Awan termed the High Court’s rejection of the petition a good omen and added that Sharifs addition to the parliament will strengthen democracy.

Babar Awan termed Nawaz Sharif a 'mature politician' and hoped he will soon stand in elections.

However, one of the judge who was the member of the bench that gave verdit against ZAB later admitted mistake (blunder) committed by him in siding with those judges who gave capital punishment against ZAB, itself reflects that verdit was made under the duress of the ruler of that time.
Sultan Ahmed | 13 years ago | Reply Let me say, really a conspiracy was hatched against Mr.Bhutto, he was not involved in the murder of the man namely Nawab M.A.KHan. He was absolutely innocent but hanged, history will never forget him. People of Pakistan loved him and this fact was not tolerable for dictators . Democracy in Pakistan,is great masterpiece of Z.A.Bhutto he will remained live until Pakistan exist .
